Fire Station 7 - Firefighter Memorial
The Fire Administration building has a beautiful memorial dedicated to the memory of fallen firefighters across the country and is the site of our annual September 11th Memorial Ceremony.
The palm tree adorned courtyard has a podium, which holds two plaques memorializing its somber purpose, one a memorial for those lost in the attack on America and the other, the Firefighter’s Prayer. An antique hose cart sits as a reminder of the fire service of the past and an American Flag flies high above the ground in service of our country.
The courtyard is quiet throughout most of the year, but on September 11th, the sound of a bell ringing in the 5-5-5 pattern remind us of the 343 brothers and sisters that were lost during the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001.
