Curci House • 324 SW 2 Avenue • 954 457-1452 Hours: See Below |
 |
This historic Hallandale Beach home was built by Frank and Rosina Curci in 1924. "Villa Providence" was constructed of concrete-filled terra-cotta block walls with Dade pine floors and imported Cuban tile details throughout. The most extraordinary feature was the array of imported Italian color glass that was imbedded in the exterior stucco finish. The glass sparkled in the sunlight and glowed in the moonlight. The house withstood the Great Hurricane of 1926 and sheltered dozens of nearby residents whose homes were damaged and destroyed.
This Hallandale Beach treasure can be toured compliments of the Hallandale Beach Historic Preservation Board on the first Saturday of every month between 11am and 4pm. Tour Information
