The City of Hallandale Beach hosts a number of family friendly events throughout the year.  All City hosted events are held in our beautiful City Parks and are free to attend.  Reasonable fees may be charged for event activities.  Our Food Trucks provide the best in event dining at family-friendly prices.

Our events offer your organization an opportunity to become involved in our community while gaining exposure as an event sponsor. Dr. MLK Jr. Day Parade and Celebration

Eggstravaganza

The City's annual Dr. MLK, Jr Day Parade and Celebration us hosted in partnership with the Community Civic Association.  

The fun filled day begins with a community parade from BF James Park to OB Johnson Park. Community groups and performers vie for the Best of Parade awards each year. 

The free, family-friendly Celebration kicks off at OB Johnson Park as soon as the parade is finished. Featuring food and community vendors, performances, City departments, and amusements; the Celebration is a not to be missed community gathering.

Join us on Easter Saturday at Peter Bluesten Park for fast paced egg hunt fun at our free family friendly event where kids of all ages vie for the coveted golden eggs.

Juneteenth

Back to School Bash

Held in partnership with the Community Civic Association, the City's Juneteenth event is a celebration of freedom.

The event is held the Friday before Juneteenth day at Foster Park from 5:30 - 8:30pm and features local artists, businesses, and performers.

The Back to School Bash is back with the Coolest Summer Fun, School Supply Giveaways, Music, and more.

Join us in the OB Johnson Park Gym as our community partners provide backpacks and school supplies for school age children. Children must be present for the giveaway and each child is limited to one set of supplies.

Coastal Clean Up

National Night Out

The City of Hallandale Beach joins Broward County to participate in the annual International Coastal Cleanup, sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy. The Cleanup takes place in over 122 countries with over one million volunteers participating worldwide.

Join us on the 3rd Saturday of September at South City Beach Park from 9am - 1pm.  Parking is free for volunteers during the Cleanup.

Please register and dress appropriately for the weather, either rain or shine. Please bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen, and water. If you have a 5-gallon bucket at home you can bring to use, that will keep one more plastic bag out of a trash disposal site!

The Hallandale Police Department's National Night out is a free event for the entire community.  Meeting your local Police and emergency responders while you enjoy food, music and fun!  

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

National Night out is held annually on the first Tuesday in October.


Women's Cancer Event

Halloween Festival

The Hepburn Center's Annual Women's Cancer Event and Pink Stiletto Breast Cancer Walk is held annually on the first Saturday in October at OB Johnson Park.

Phenomenal Survivor Stories, Health Education, Mammography Screenings, Giveaways, and much more.

Join us on Halloween evening at OB Johnson Park for a safe alternative to trick or treating.  We’re taking it inside this year with our Halloween Trail of Treats where Ghouls and Goblins will enjoy Carnival Style Games, Music, Photo Stations, a Haunted Maze, Entertainment, loads of treats, and more.  Our sponsors and partners help ensure a fun event for the entire community.  

Your free entry includes 10 game tickets.  Food Trucks will be onsite with tasty treats for sale!

Holiday in the Park

Each year the City kicks off the Holiday season at our Holiday in the Park event held on the first Friday of December at Peter Bluesten Park.

The family friendly event featuring Children's Activities, Holiday Crafts, Community  Performances, Visits with Santa, Holiday Music, Inflatables, Amusements, Food Trucks and more.

There is no entry fee to attend.  A $5 arm band allows unlimited access to the amusements and inflatables.
