The Budget and Program Monitoring Department plans, prepares and monitors the City’s annual operating and 5 year budgets; provides financial and budgetary information for the City Manager and all city departments; is responsible for policy implementation relating to budgetary practices and control. The City of Hallandale Beach has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Award for 28 years.
The City of Hallandale Beach Fiscal Year begins on October 1. Each year, the City Manager compiles the operating and capital budgets for review by the City Commission and residents before final adoption in September.
