Charter Review Committee

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties of the Committee are to study the existing Charter with the view to improve it and to provide for the preservation of the general health, welfare and safety of the inhabitants of the City. Pursuant to Section 2-121(a) of the City’s Code of Ordinances, a Charter Review Committee is to be appointed every eight (8) years. The last Charter Review Committee was appointed by the City Commission in the first quarter of 2003.
