All Local Business Tax Receipts (BTR) and Certificates of Use (CU) must be renewed by September 30th of each year.
BTR Renewals
Pursuant to FL§205.053 and Section 18-31(a)(b) of the City Code of Ordinances, all Local Business Tax Receipts shall expire on September 30th of each year. It is the responsibility of the business owner to ensure that their Local Business Tax Receipt is renewed before September 30th of each year. Business Tax Receipts which are renewed after September 30th shall be subject to the following penalties for late payment:

December 1st
January 1st
After January 31st

BTR Renewal Fees
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2023-012, all BTR fees for FY2024 have increased by 5%.
Pursuant to Section 32-14 of the City of Hallandale Beach Code Of Ordinances, all Certificates of use shall expire on September 30th of each year. It is the responsibility of the business owner to ensure that their Certificate of Use is renewed before September 30th of each year. Certificates of Use which are renewed after September 30th shall be subject to penalties for late payment.
