We are in a moderate drought.
On Friday, the South Florida Water Management District issued water restrictions via order. These water conservation measures are due to our area experiencing abnormally dry conditions resulting in a moderate drought.
What does this order mean for you?
- Until further notice, you may only irrigate your landscape 2 times per week and only between the hours of 7 pm and 7 am.
- Homes or establishments which utilize reclaimed water, rain barrels, rainwater cisterns, and/or "low-volume hand watering" (i.e. watering cans) for irrigation are exempt from these restrictions.
- This order still functions under our City Code which dictates that odd-numbered addresses may irrigate on Wednesdays and Saturdays and even-numbered addresses on Thursdays and Sundays.
