Winners Announced!

Mayor Joy Cooper is proud to announce the winners of the Mayor's Creative Arts Challenge. Each of the winners showed how their talents are keeping them busy while they practice social distancing during the current 'Safer at Home' order.

1st Place: Natacha Heyman Family

The Natacha Heyman family's positive message sidewalk chalk art earned the most likes and takes first place. The art was done to honor Ms. Heyman's father who is fighting for his life in a coma due to COVID-19. The positive messaging brought a smile and happy tears to her mom and gave her courage. The neighbors agree!

2nd Place: Charlize Lopez

The second place art was completed by ten year old Charlize who is a 5^th grader at Gulfstream Academy. Mom, Pattricia Lopez, said Charlize’s art represents herself during the pandemic , trying to stay busy and focused on positive things to get her through these crazy days.

3rd Place: Alejandra Acosta

The third place art was painted by Alejandra Acosta.
