The City of Hallandale Beach continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and has taken necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well being of our community. We are working closely with County, State and Federal officials and follow guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Florida Department of Health.

Emergency Updates

City of Hallandale Beach, Broward County and State of Florida Emergency Orders related to the Corona Virus are being followed.

Hallandale Beach Administration is developing strategies for supporting future re-opening initiatives. Municipalities are bound by County and State orders and all Municipal Emergency orders remain in effect until further notice.

All persons in Hallandale Beach are following a State of Florida emergency order ’Safer at Home’ that limits their movements and personal interactions outside of their home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities. 

A nightly curfew remains in effect from 11pm to 5am. 

By emergency declaration, all persons outside of their homes within the City of Hallandale Beach are required to wear cloth masks or other face coverings consistent with the current CDC and Florida Department of Health guidelines for personal protective equipment. For purposes of this order, persons should not utilize N95 rated masks unless engaged in providing health care, police, fire, or emergency management services or other persons engaged in life/safety activities. Broward County Emergency Order also requires face coverings for essential businesses.  Face coverings should adhere to the CDC guidance available here.

Residents are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing keeping space between yourself and other people outside your home.  To practiced social distancing; stay at least 6 feet from other people, do not gather in groups, and stay out of crowded places an avoid mass gatherings.

The next Virtual City Commission Meeting is Wednesday, May 6th at 5:30pm.  Information on the virtual public meeting can be found on our Facebook Page and online at www.CohB.org/Agenda.  City Commission & CRA meetings follow the City’s virtual/remote public meeting Emergency Declaration. The meetings will be broadcast and public comment will be taken in compliance with the emergency declaration. 

All Park Facilities, including Parks, Centers, Pool, Cemetery, and the Beach, remain closed until further notice.  

Normal operations of Water, Wastewater, Sanitation, and Police services continues. Trash, Recycling, and Bulk pick up continue to follow the regular 
schedule.  
The Building Division services are offered virtually to reduce person-to-person contact and minimize the inconvenience to applicants and customers. For more information visit

Minibus operations run between 8AM-5PM every hour and continue to follow enhanced cleaning procedures and social distancing measures to maintain a safe environment for riders. All riders must wear a face covering.
