New Emergency Order

Any establishment that is cited for operating in a manner inconsistent with any emergency order will be required to close immediately per Broward County Emergency Order 20-18.  

The establishment may then reopen only after a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours period in which the establishment must bring brought into compliance and a fully executed attestation is filed.  The establishment shall then be inspected to confirm the violation has been corrected.  Further violation shall result in a fine up to $15,000.

Face Covering Requirements

Broward County Emergency Order requires face coverings for all persons in an establishment, including members of the public, and when social distancing requirements cannot be maintained outside.

The City of Hallandale Beach Emergency Order requires face coverings for all persons in common areas of buildings of multi-family housing. 


Face coverings should adhere to the CDC guidance available here.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the compliance process by reporting violations to MyBroward. Enter the location of the violation, and select “COVID-19 Business Complaints” as the Type of Issue. You can also call the Broward County Call Center at 311 or (954) 831-4000. Both types of reports can be made anonymously.

Free Food Distribution

  • Potential Church Food Distribution (214 East Hallandale Beach Blvd) – This distribution is scheduled for Saturday June, 27th 2020 from 8AM-3PM.
  •  Church Of Christ Food Distribution (305 North Dixie Hwy) – This distribution is scheduled to take place June 27th 2020 from 10AM-1PM.  
City Parks & Beach

The City of Hallandale Beach remains in a phased partial reopening of our public spaces. In addition to Phase One Park openings for passive recreation, the City welcomes its residents to enjoy the Dog Park at Joseph Scavo Park daily 7am - 6pm except Wednesdays and the Tennis and Racquetball Courts at OB Johnson and Peter Bluesten Parks, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.

The City Beach is open with social distancing restrictions for visitor’s safety.  Save time and down load our mobile Pay-By-Phone parking app. Meters will be strictly enforced.  Please remember, the beach and South City Beach Parking lots close at dark.
