TROPICAL STORM WARNING AND FLOOD WATCH STILL IN EFFECT
The City of Hallandale Beach is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Nicole and taking preliminary protective measures. The storm is forecast to strengthen and approach the Florida east coast Wednesday, potentially making landfall late Wednesday or early Thursday as a Category 1 Hurricane.
The effects of Tropical Storm Nicole are expected to coincide with the forecasted King Tides. The City remains focused on mitigating the impact in flood-prone areas. City Staff has taken measures such as clearing storm water system catch basins and curb inlets as well as checking pumps and staging traffic calming for flood-prone areas.
Residents are encouraged to prepare for the upcoming storm and potential flooding. Be sure to monitor weather updates, dust off your storm plan, and prepare your home. Stock up now on food and water (3 days worth), ensure all loose items are brought inside, and register for emergency notifications at

Garbage/Sanitation/ Bulk Trash pickup will continue on the regular schedule until further notice.
Mini-Bus Shuttle service will remain in normal operation until further notice.
City offices and facilities including City Hall, all Parks and City Beaches are closed for Wednesday, November 9th. All programming and rentals are cancelled as well.
Due to the Veteran's Day Holiday, City offices are closed Thursday, November 10th and will reopen Monday, November 14th.
