Historic Village Groundbreak
The Historic Village, home to the Curci House, has been part of the Hallandale Beach community since the early 1920s. The Historic Village is part of the Hallandale Beach City Wide Parks Master Plan, adopted on March 12, 2012, and is the eleventh (11th) Park to break ground. With one (1) more park to go, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of completing all the City Wide Parks Master Plan projects.
To help us reach that goal, Hallandale Beach Voters approved, by an overwhelming majority (65%), to issue of $58.5 million General Obligation Bonds (GO Bonds) on the November 4, 2014, ballot. The Historic Village is the sixth GO Bonds park project to break ground and we couldn’t be prouder!
We are especially proud as this is the second park project to break ground in the City’s 95th birthday year (Sunrise Park was the first). So much has changed in the City’s 95-year history and we are very proud to maintain our rich history with these improvements and ensure the Historic Village will be an integral part of our history moving forward.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the start of another great park project!
