The Hallandale Beach Police Department (HBPD) is recruiting incoming seventh to high school-aged students for their Explorers Program. Members of this program will get a behind-the-scenes look at the HBPD and participate in training meetings, ride-alongs, traffic controls, and more. Our Free Summer Fun Program is in full swing! This program features a variety of family-friendly events, like Senior Bingo, Teddy Bear Story Time, three-on-three basketball, and our Outdoor Flea Market, at the Cultural Community Center (410 SE 3rd Street) and the OB Johnson Center (1000 NW 8th Avenue). Come on in, the water’s fine! Plan a visit to BF James Pool (111 NW 1st Ave) to cool down from the summer heat. The pool is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Open Swim, Learn to Swim Group Lessons, and Learn to Swim Private Lessons. To use the BF James Pool, you must register in person. Enhanced Home Care for the Elderly (HCE) Home Modification Program
