Walk Audit Event

The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is coordinating with the City of Hallandale Beach a Walkability Workshop and a Community Walk Audit.

Join us for a Walking Audit in the City of Hallandale Beach on Saturday, March 30th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Walk with us to evaluate Dixie Highway (County line Rd to Hallandale Beach Blvd.), provide a different perspective and help us identify ways to improve this corridor. We will walk a short distance. Please wear comfortable clothing, shoes and be prepared for the weather (with umbrella, sunglasses, etc.). After the walking audit, we will serve refreshments and discuss our collective findings.????

Pet Palooza

Join the City of Hallandale Beach at our first Pet Palooza event, a Pet Friendly event sponsored by MARS Petcare and the United States Conference of Mayors.

The event features rescues/ adoptable pets, free micro-chipping, cool vendors, fun activities and contests, raffle prizes, food trucks, music and more.

Don't miss the fun at the Big Easy (former) Dog Track, 831 N Federal Hwy, Hallandale Beach on Saturday, March 30th from 10 AM - 2 PM.

10th Annual HB Green Fest

Join us at Hallandale Beach's 10th Annual Green Fest event, on Saturday, April 27th, from 10 AM - 2 PM! This all-ages, family-friendly, and free event celebrates Earth and Arbor days the HB-way. ?

Peruse environmental vendor booths, meet some Florida native animals at a Workshop with Busch Wildlife Sanctuary , attend a Plastics Pollution workshop with Plastic Free Mermaid, root for your favorite middle-school artist at the 4th Annual Gulfstream Academy Trashion and Trash-Art Show, drop-off old prescription drugs with the Hallandale Beach Police Department, shred personal documents for free, get free giveaways to reduce your environmental impact, enjoy music, and some food from Grenhous (vegan options available)! Free fruit trees to the first 75 attendees who attend either 1 workshop or the Trashion and Trash Art Show.

This year, we've made Green Fest carbon neutral with "We Are Neutral!" We're also aiming for the event to be Zero-Waste! Bring your reusable water bottles (and foodware if you have it).

Come to Green Fest via the City's Community Mini Bus Service. Public transit and human-powered transit to this event will be rewarded with a special giveaway.
