MLK Closure

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day  


In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day, City Hall and City offices will be closed.

Although offices will be closed many services will still be available such as reporting concerns on our MyHBapp and Citizens Self Service online at CoHB.org/CSS.

Friendly Reminder: City Hall and City offices are closed on Fridays.

Offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

MLK Post

Come Celebrate With Us!

Join us for our annual Dr MLK Jr Day Parade and Festival co-sponsored by the Hallandale Beach Community Civic Assn.

The parade will begin at BF James Park (777 NW 1st Ave.) at 10 am, heads South on NW 2nd Ave to Hallandale Beach Blvd, West on Hallandale Beach Blvd to NW 8th Ave and North on NW 8th Ave to OB Johnson Park (1000 NW 8th Ave).  Parade participants meet at BF James Park, at 8:30 am.  The parade will start at 10 am sharp!

The Festival takes place immediately following the parade at OB Johnson Park!  The day is filled with food, entertainment, and fun for the whole family.  

The Peaceful Player's Basketball Tournament finals will be held at 1 pm in the gymnasium.

Trash Pick up

Holiday Trash Pick Up


Trash Pick Up will operate as normal on Monday, January 20, 2020.  Residents must have debris placed
in the swale by 7 am on Monday for their scheduled date and not earlier than 24 hours prior to that time. 

Bulk Trash Pick Up will occur in the northeast area of the City on Monday, January 20, 2020. Please keep in mind that once the truck picks up along a block, it will not do that block for another month.

Community Mini Bus Service

A convenient way to travel around Hallandale Beach

The City of Hallandale Beach minibus service operates four (4) routes for quick, easy and convenient transportation. Routes 1, 2,& 3 operate Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm; and Route 4 operates Monday through Sunday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. The four (4) routes cover all four sections of the City. Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 merge at City Hall; Route 2 travels to the Aventura Hospital; and Route 3 goes to the Hollywood Tri-Rail Station and the Memorial Health Care on Pembroke Road. This service is offered free of charge to all riders. For more information, call (954) 457-3039.

Celebrity bball game

John Battle IV Celebrity Basketball Game


Come support NFL player, entrepreneur, philanthropist and South Florida native, John Battle IV, who will be hosting the 2020 Celebrity Charity Basketball Game in partnership with the City of Hallandale Beach Parks and Recreation.

This event strives to empower our youth and improve community-police relations.

Proceeds from this event will benefit both the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Hallandale Beach as well as uniform expenses for Hallandale High School Athletics.

Three Events, One Amazing Weekend for the Entire Family

During the month of February, the HBCRA has partnered with the South Beach Food and Wine Festival (SOBEWFF) to host three signature events in Hallandale Beach. The three signature events are as follows:
