Join us on Saturday, February 22nd from 8 AM to Noon at South City Beach Park to re-plant our dune system with native plants!
Tools will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle, wear closed-toed shoes, and wear sun-protective clothing.
Volunteer hours are available for students.
In the days leading up to the event, the City will have a contractor on site removing invasive vegetation.
This project is made possible by a $5,000 grant from Broward County for dune restoration and a partnership with the Youth Environmental Alliance.

Volunteers are welcomed to help pick up litter along NE 14th Ave and Atlantic Shores Blvd. Garbage bags, reusable buckets, biodegradable gloves, and pick-sticks will be provided.
Park and meet at Scavo Park.
Attendees must wear closed toed shoes and bring their own water. Wearing sun-protective clothing or reef-safe sunscreen is strongly encouraged.

The Planning and Zoning Board reviews and make advisory recommendations to the City Commission on applications for changes to the zoning code text or official zoning map (rezoning), conditional uses, variances (other than those variances it has authority to approve pertaining to minor development under Section 32-965(a) Code of Ordinances, changes to the comprehensive land-use plan, development review approval for major development, application for all plats of subdivision and resub divisions of land, and other matters as deemed appropriate by the City Commission.
